Canaan Dogs of River Rock

We are a preservation kennel located in Northwest Georgia. We are active members of the Canaan Dog Club of America and focus on raising Canaan Dogs of quality that are versatile in a number of venues and disciplines.  All of our dogs are American Kennel Club (AKC) registered Canaan Dogs. 

Kennel Overview & Activities
We and our dogs regularly participate in a wide variety of canine sports and events, including: 

Conformation Dog Shows, 
Performance Sports: Rally Obedience, Herding, Fast CAT, Dock Diving, Coursing, Nose/Scent Work and Weight Pull. 

Breeding & Puppy Philosophy
We prioritize health, preservation, and proper temperament for this rare, ancient national dog breed of Israel.  We pride ourselves on matching the right Canaan Dog puppy with the right home.

• Health Measures: All puppies are microchipped, fully AKC registered, and receive age-appropriate vaccinations.  All sires and dams have passed, at a minimum, all health testing required for their OFA CHIC number.

• Socialization: We use proven, structured socialization techniques to prepare puppies for active family environments.

• Training Foundation: Puppies are introduced to basic obedience before going to their permanent homes.
